Goldust (w/ Blue Meanie) fights for the Intercontinental Championship, in a match marked by rather controversial referee decisions. Goldust blinded himself with a powder meant to blind Godfather, giving Meanie the Shattered Dreams in his confusion.
However, this happened behind the ref's back, so in his eyes, the Godfather was the one who blinded the Bizarre One! Goldie should have won the match via disqualification right there!
After this match, Goldust was written off TV for a month. He fought the Godfather for the Intercontinental Championship in numerous house shows during that period, losing every time.
