Van Dam is fighting for the Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania, so it was a bit obvious he was not going to with the Hardcore Championship here... The idea of Goldie using golden objects is pretty good, though!
This match is more of a promo for the RVD vs Regal match at 'Mania than anything else.
