Moonlight is an American film of dramatic sort released in 2016, directed by Barry Jenkins. The main actors are Trevante Rodas, Andre Holland, Janelle Monáe, Naomie Harris and Mahershala Ali. Segmented in three parts, it tells the childhood, adolescence and maturity of Chiron, a black boy, orphan of father, who grows up in a poor suburb of Miami. The film shows the difficulties that Chiron has to relate to the people around him, and how he faces his emotional development and his homosexuality. Oscar for Best Picture in year 2016.
