After Cody Rhodes won the 2025 King of the Ring, he rightfully earned a shot at a rematch for the Undisputed WWE Title against John Cena at SummerSlam in New Jersey. During their contract signing, John Cena tried to back out but Cody refused by bringing the fight to Cena. The SmackDown before SummerSlam, Cena and Cody went face-to-face one last time. Cena said that he was over his own BS that started all the way back at Elimination Chamber. Cena said he was ready for war!
