In an effort to better understand the link between spirit and body, psychiatrist Marc Lacroix (Gérard Depardieu) constructs a device that can probe the brain of anyone attached to it. To test it, Marc recruits murderer Michel Zyto (Didier Bourdon) and connects them both to the machine -- but when their minds swap bodies during the process, the killer escapes.
