El reino is a Spanish film of 2018 directed by Rodrigo Sorogoyen. It is a political thriller about corruption in Spain. The protagonist, Manuel López Vidal, played by Antonio de la Torre, is a corrupt politician in his autonomous community, but everything changes for him when a friend is involved in a corruption case. Ignoring the orders of his party, Manuel offers to help him and assumes responsibility for some of these issues, to which his party responds by attributing the crime.
