The Balkan Peninsula is home to Europe’s last wild, free-flowing rivers and some of its most intact ecosystems. These rivers are The Undamaged: clean, pristine and undammed. But with more than 2,700 hydropower projects planned or already under construction, corruption and greed are threatening their survival. The film follows the Balkan Rivers Tour, a group of kayakers, filmmakers and photographers who travel from Slovenia to Albania over 36 days, paddling 23 rivers in 6 countries to protest the dams and reveal the hidden beauty of the Balkans’ wild rivers. A tribute to local activists and everyday people fighting to protect these precious waterways.
